All of our leagues are 4 vs 4 so you touch the ball much more than in the typical 6 vs 6 leagues. This format has proven very successful and is one of the top reasons teams play at Billy’s year after year. Spares are allowed to fill in for free, making it easy for teams with commitment issues. By the end of the summer, you will have established nicknames for all the teams (some you hope they never find out), shared drinks at other tables, subbed in for other teams, found an arch-nemesis team, became an arch-nemesis team, had questionable rock, paper, scissors wins, and met a bunch of people whom you actually learned their names. It’s a county thing.

Recreational League

Teams in our recreational leagues tend to come as much for the social aspect as for volleyball. If having a drink with friends, getting some exercise, and having a night out is just as important as winning a volleyball game, this is the league for you. Teams still play to win and the competition level is generally higher than most other recreational leagues due to our 4-on-4 format but having fun is definitely the top priority.

All recreational leagues are for first timers and up. Each night usually has a good mix of skill levels with stronger and weaker teams

Really League

Most teams in these leagues played in recreational leagues for several years and are looking for the next level up. Teams are still out to have fun and many of them have played for years making them some of our most social leagues. There is an emphasis on skill with the elimination of tips and volleys over the net resulting in better longer rallies.

Monday is typically a very competitive league with a handful of college players on teams. Wednesday is less competitive than Monday.
No finger tipping over the net (knuckles are allowed), no volleys over the net, unlimited serves
Able to bump, set, volley, and serve the ball consistently

Registration

The 2024 season starts on Tuesday, May 21, and ends on Friday, September 13
Registration forms are available for download and at Billys
Forms will only be accepted with full payment on or after the registration date
Typically the entire league is full by the end of February with some nights filling up in the first few days of registration, don’t wait!

New Team Registration

Available Starting February 1

Cost: $400 + HST = $452.00 / Team

Returning Team Registration

Available Starting January 25

Teams that played in 2023 have the opportunity to register for the same night starting January 25 and receive a $50 discount. If your team wants to play on a different night you still receive a $50 discount but you must wait to register on February 1st.

Cost: $350 + HST = $395.50 / Team
